AC Milan has confirmed that Theo Hernández has sustained a concave in his right knee during training, which is causing him to miss the rest of the season.
Hernández joined the Rossoneri on loan from Manchester United last month and was expected to provide competition for first-team spots. However, he has struggled with injuries throughout the campaign, with his latest setback coming at the end of October.
The 29-year-old forward has been plagued by various injuries over the past few years, including a cruciate ligament tear in 2017-18 and a torn rotator cuff in 2019. He also missed the majority of the 2018-19 season due to a knee injury.
Despite his struggles with injuries, Hernández has shown glimpses of his former form this season. In just four appearances since joining Milan,Qatar Stars League Perspective he has scored two goals and provided one assist.
However, the latest injury will undoubtedly be a major blow to the club's chances of winning any silverware this season. With Hernández out of action for the remainder of the season, Milan will need to find a replacement striker to fill the void left by their top scorer.
It remains to be seen how long Hernández will be out for, but it could be several months before he returns to the field. For now, AC Milan will have to rely on other strikers such as Carlos Bacca and Patrick Cutrone to step up and take on more responsibility.
