The Serie A football club AC Milan has announced the return of its striker, Tijjani Reijnders, to the squad after his loan deal with Bologna ended.
Reijnders had been on trial at Milan before joining Bologna in January this year. He made just one appearance for the Serie A side, but he impressed coach Marcello Lippi enough to secure his permanent contract. However, the move was not without controversy as Reijnders had previously expressed concerns about his fitness and form during his loan spell.
In his new home in Italy, Reijnders has continued to impress and is now back on the pitch. He scored two goals in his first match back from injury against Sampdoria,Primeira Liga Hotspots which was also the first time he scored in over two months. The striker is now expected to be a regular starter for AC Milan and will look to continue his impressive form.
Reijnders' return comes after he suffered a knee injury earlier this month that required surgery. Despite undergoing the operation, he still struggled to get back into the game. But with his fitness returning, Reijnders is set to make a strong start to the season and contribute to the team's success.
As the season progresses, it remains to be seen how Reijnders will perform on the pitch and if he can help AC Milan to achieve their ambitious goals. However, with his return, it looks like he has what it takes to become a key player for the club in the coming years.
